Two-time Olympian Heather Bansley made a stunning return to the sand, earning her first spot in the main draw of Elite16 Joao Pessoa the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour. Teaming up with her Canadian partner Sophie Bukovec, Bansley, like a seasoned captain navigating uncharted waters, sailed through the qualifiers with finesse.
Seeded second, Bansley & Bukovec breezed past their opponents, showcasing their prowess with Bukovec’s serves raining down like thunderbolts, leaving their rivals in awe. With eight aces to her name, Bukovec was the epitome of dominance, propelling the Canadian pair into the main draw.

Meanwhile, other top seeds in the women’s qualifiers, including the French duo Placette & Richard and Brazil’s Cavalcanti & Rodrigues, also secured their tickets to the main draw.
